Archivo Central

The archive is a structural part of the Auxiliary Offices, which carries out the reception, organization and conservation of the documents for their later use, for a period of twenty-five years the documents that are transferred by the Document Control Office and the management files or office, once your consultation is no longer frequent, and they coordinate the operation of said files.

The Central Archive of the NAPP and the Council of State is located at the headquarters of the National Capitol. The place where the documentary collection is located presents the conditions and equipment for its security, it has an adequate construction which allows us an adequate conservation of the documentary sources.

Access to our archive is free, in accordance with the provisions of the legal provisions with requirements and conditions established by them. For inquiries about our collections, natural and legal persons must submit a request letter, stating the reason for the inquiry, endorsed by the head representing the entity.

Hence, the Independent Archives Section has the mission of organizing, protecting and preserving the documents that are transferred to it from the management archives of the Auxiliary Offices.

  • Historical documents of the constitution of the Organs of Popular Power and the different electoral processes
  • Documents of the different Auxiliary Offices and resulting from work with other entities

  • Decree-Laws and agreements approved by the Council of State
  • Bilateral and multilateral treaties and appointment of ambassadors

Document management is the set of principles, methods and procedures that tend to the planning, management and organization of the documentation produced or received by the management archives. Our institution has created the institutional document and file management system, made up of the central file and the management files. The system is responsible for implementing the processes of document management and its procedures, which ensure the creation, reception, maintenance, use, disposal and preservation of your documents in all types of media, analog or digital, and the administration of your files.

The Documentary Classification Chart is a technical archival instrument that defines how to logically structure the documents and administrative files that are processed in the Archive. In this Central Archive it is organic-functional. It is made up of three elements or classes and the documentary units in the lower classes in the table hierarchy. Groups the series generated by each of the components of the Document Management System that make up the structure of the body in the exercise of its powers. It is applied in this case for having open funds. For its elaboration it is necessary to know the attributions and functions of the Auxiliary Offices.
